From the orange shellacked collage she decorated on her mother's laundry room door to the hand made pottery she made as a young child, she has always enjoyed creating new and imaginative objets d'art.
Once upon a time Ellen won many art contests. But, alas, she did not want to throw pottery pots in a barn and wonder who would pay the electric bill. So, this princess went off to University to study finance. Although her career would take her far and away around the globe, it wasn't particularly creative!
A full-time mom who has finally found time to follow her heart's desire, she lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband Steve and her two children Daniel and Julia Macy (a.k.a. Jamie)...and Franklin, their pound puppy. She loves to scavenge for found object treasures to incorporate into her art. If she could just figure out a way to relocate Atlanta to the beach then it would be perfection!
She thinks the absolute best part of living a creative life is the fact that she can work in one of her various pairs of bunny slippers all day long. She can listen to whatever sort of music she wants and sing to her heart's content when nobody else is listening!! Still, the best part of her day is the time she cherishes so dearly spent with her family and those whom she loves.
